Engagement Coordinator
Luka Dubnick

As Kane Street’s inaugural Engagement Coordinator, Luka Dubnick plays a pivotal role in assisting in membership, engagement, marketing, and communications initiatives. His primary objective is to foster connections and nurture a sense of kehillah (community) within the synagogue.
Luka is a recent alum of Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies in 2023. During his studies, he accrued four minors, taking classes in English, Spanish, Judaic Studies, and Religion. He wrote a senior thesis on divergent Jewish communities in the United States and was awarded the Dr. S. Ned Rosenbaum Award in Judaic Studies.
Luka grew up in Manhattan and is a proud New Yorker, constantly on a quest to find the city’s best pizza, bagels, and pierogi. As a member of Central Synagogue on the Upper East Side, Judaism has shaped his identity from a young age. In college, Luka worked as the Pincus Engagement Intern at Dickinson’s Asbell Center for Jewish Life and is excited to bring his strong engagement with the religion and its culture to this role.
Prior to Kane Street, Luka held various internships, assisting in marketing and communications efforts at Vytalogy Wellness and the Dickinson College Office of Marketing and Communications. Luka also spent a summer working for BUILD NYC, a non-profit organization committed to teaching underprivileged high schools students about entrepreneurship.
Luka is thrilled to begin his professional career at Kane Street and is enthusiastic and eager to build connections in this vibrant community. He looks forward to weaving his diverse experiences into the fabric of the synagogue’s mission, fostering an even stronger sense of belonging.
