Introduction to Judaism

Join this 20-session introduction to Jewish life, thought, & practice, led by Rabbi Sue Oren.

The curriculum is designed to give you access to concepts, vocabulary and observances that are central to Judaism. Explore the holy and the historical, inherited texts and contemporary issues, rhythms of the calendar and of our lives in this seminar-style course.

In a warm and open environment, we explore Jewish thought, prayer, and practice, learn about Jewish history and holidays, wrestle with inherited text and contemporary issues, and discuss Jewish views of G-d, ethics, life, and death.

This 20-session class meets via Zoom on Wednesday evenings (7:00-9:00pm) OR Sunday evenings (7:30-9:30pm). The first session of the class will be October 20, 2021 for all students.

For registration & questions, email Rabbi Sue Oren or call 917-539-1334.
