Amy P. Goldman Foundation $100,000 Challenge Grant

We are grateful and thrilled to announce that Kane Street Synagogue has received a $100,000 Challenge Grant from the Amy P. Goldman Foundation.

The Foundation has generously offered to match dollar-for-dollar – up to $100,000 – all donations to the Synagogue through the end of 2021.

We need your help to take full advantage of this incredible opportunity to strengthen Kane Street’s financial well-being. Matching funds will be based on donation payments received (not pledges). Here are some ways you can make a difference:

  • Donate to the Kol Nidre Appeal. If you usually support the shul through the Kol Nidre Appeal, consider increasing your gift, if possible. If you’ve never participated, now’s a great time to start.
  • Remember Loved Ones in the Yizkor Book of Remembrance. In addition to honoring the memory of loved ones, the Yizkor Book supports our community.
  • Celebrate and Remember Family and Friends. Recognize simchas, loved ones, and special occasions that enrich your life and our community. You can also contribute in memory of someone or for a yahrzeit.
  • Make a General Donation. All gifts are welcome. (Please note that membership dues and school tuition are not included in the match.)

The Amy P. Goldman Foundation’s commitment comes at a significant time for Kane Street, as we work to emerge from challenging financial circumstances brought on by the pandemic, and enter a period of renewal and reconnection.

We are welcoming Rabbi Paul Resnick as our new interim rabbi, expanding our community with new members, launching a new year of learning for Kane Street Kids preschoolers and our Hebrew School students, planning for the High Holidays, and looking forward to opportunities to gather (in person or online) for Open Beit Midrash, Hazak, and much more.

All gifts, regardless of size, make a meaningful difference to the financial strength of our community and deepen our collective commitment to the future of Kane Street. Please consider making your donation today!
