Chag Kasher Sameach!

Thursday, April 14

  • After 7:46pm: Bedikat Chametz
In preparation for Passover, go through the home for a final search for chametz.

Friday, April 15, Erev Pesach

  • 7:30am: Ta’anit B’rchorim/Fast of First born.
First-borns fast the day before Passover in memory of the first-born of Egypt who died in the tenth plague. But the joy of a study session (siyyum) where someone completes a tractate of Talmud calls for a celebration, which supersedes the fast. For first-borns who want to observe the custom of participating in this siyyum, we are fortunate to have two options offered by our sister synagogues:

    • In-person services at 7:30am at Flatbush Jewish Center
327 E 5th St, at the corner of Church Avenue (Easily accessible by the F and G trains.)
    • Zoom Services at 8:00am with East Midwood Jewish Center
Click here to join, or use Meeting ID: 878 2929 0748 Passcode: 274420, Or by phone: +1 646 558 8656
