Y-CAS
Kane Street’s Cohort of Young(ish) Couples And Singles!
Kane Street Synagogue has a vibrant and active group of young(ish) couples and singles (Y-CAS) who play a vital role in our community. This cohort has recently grown exponentially in our membership. We are so happy to have the highest number of singles and couples (married and not; with and without children) in their 20s, 30s and early 40s, since the 1970s—that’s when many of our now longtime (25+ years) members first joined and reinvigorated the Congregation after a post-war lull.
Get Involved!
We welcome you to join Y-CAS and participate in our upcoming events. You don’t need to be a member of the Synagogue to get involved (but you’ll want to be once you meet everyone in the group!). Contact us at [email protected] to be added to our mailing list and stay informed about future Y-CAS events.
Past Y-CAS events
- “Post-Passover Pizza & Beer”
- Annual “Kickoff Hangout” at our Rooftop Community Space (early September)
- Tu B’Av Celebration—the Jewish holiday of LOVE (mid-August)
- Shabbat dinners hosted by longtime members
- Happy Hours at the Synagogue and other social gatherings
- Opportunities to get involved in organizing programs and events, and join Synagogue committees
We’re excited to meet you and welcome you to Y-CAS!
